'Public Safety Night' car cruise concludes Old Town Market series

Old Town Market summer series concludes Friday with a final theme night dedicated to public safety, sponsored by the Lompoc Police Department Foundation.

The 201st annual "Public Safety Night" car cruise is set to roll through downtown Friday between 5 and 8 p.m., on the 100 block of South H Street.

The family-friendly event, hosted by the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce, will also feature vendor booths, live music, food trucks and free kids activities.

Car fever continues the next day on Saturday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Ryon Park, where a variety of vehicles on display will compete for a winner's title in categories of "Ugliest Ride in the 805" and "Best in Show."
