TREMONTON, Utah (ABC4) — Two semi-trucks collided on the highway in Tremonton Wednesday, sparking a fire, and the trucks were engulfed in flames.

According to a social media post from Tremonton Fire Department, the driver of the first semi-truck heard a loud pop and pulled over. Later, when the driver was attempting to merge back into traffic at a lower speed, the second semi-truck rear-ended it. The collision sparked a fire that quickly spread and engulfed both trucks.

Multiple agencies responded to the fire, including Tremonton Fire Department, Northrop Fire Department, and the Box Elder County Fire Marshal’s Office. A passing Grouse Creek fire crew in a brush truck stopped to help, and so did a nearby farmer, who jumped in with a water tanker.
