LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Less than a week after Captain Jake Dilsaver resigned from his position as head of the Lincoln Police Department’s Special Victims Unit following internal investigations into his behavior , recent reports allege that his own department wasn’t the only one looking into his conduct earlier this year.

In an article published by the Lincoln Journal Star Wednesday, Sheriff Terry Wagner revealed that while investigators from the Lincoln Sheriff’s Office were monitoring a local business suspected of illegal sexual activity, Dilsaver was seen among the customers entering and exiting that business.

According to Wagner, this led to a warrant to search Dilsaver’s phone. That turned up no evidence of criminal activity and Dilsaver faced no charges at the time.
