LAS VEGAS — Kelly Clarkson announced she is postponing her Las Vegas residency shows in August due to a family illness.
"While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," Clarkson wrote on social media Wednesday. "I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding."
Clarkson was married to music manager Brandon Blackstock from 2013 until they split in 2020. They were officially divorced in 2022. While married, the couple had two children: River Rose, 10, and Remington Alexander, 8.
The Grammy-winning singer's announcement came two days before her next scheduled performance.
