BILLINGS, Wash. – A former youth home staff member in Yellowstone County will go to prison after pleading guilty to a serious crime involving a minor.
Drew Alec Kinnin was sentenced on Yellowstone County court to 25 years, with 10 years in jail and 15 years on probation.
Kinnin, who was 22 years old at the time, worked at Rivers Edge Group Home. During this time, he engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old resident.
Initially, Kinnin claimed innocence. However, he later admitted guilt after multiple photos were obtained through a search, showing him with the 14-year-old resident.
These incidents occurred between July and August 2023. Kinnin is now designated as a Level 2 sex offender.
