A man died after he was found shot Wednesday in Douglas, according to Chicago police.

Officers responded about 10 p.m. to the 3500 block of South Rhodes Avenue, where they found the 27-year-old lying unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head, police said in a statement.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests were reported.
