A former joiner who enjoyed an active lifestyle has been diagnosed with a life-changing illness and says 'everything has changed.' Peter Parkinson believes he was exposed to asbestos while working on the construction of Coventry Cathedral .
Peter, 81, has been diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer affecting the lining of his lungs. He has instructed Irwin Mitchell to investigate whether his illness is linked to his time working on building projects in Coventry and Nottingham.
Peter, who was also known as Ginge and Tiger, grew up in Hyson Green, Nottingham. He joined John Laing Construction Ltd in 1959.
