GLENWOOD, Iowa (WOWT) - Authorities barricaded a neighborhood after an emergency alert went out from Mills County Emergency Management at about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Residents were asked to remain clear of the area around 405 N. Grove St. as an active law enforcement situation is in progress Wednesday night.

Neighbors told First Alert 6 at the scene that there was an explosion. They said there has been an ongoing neighborhood dispute.

Authorities are planning to give an update at about 11 p.m.
