Man booked for threats
A man was booked into the county jail after allegedly threatening a resident with a chainsaw.
Imperial County Sheriff's Office activity logs show the case was reported at Mojo's Camp, located on Coachella Canal Road, at 3:33 p.m. on August 5.
The reporting party told the sheriff's office the individual took her dog and made threats of physical harm with a chainsaw. The suspect was seen back at his trailer across the street. The individual was thought to be armed with a chainsaw and several firearms.
Deputies took the suspect into custody. The logs show that James David Rose, 48, was booked into the county jail at 5:15 p.m. on August 5 for threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorize. His bail was set at $20,000.
