LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Our unsettled pattern is beginning to take shape as we head over the course of the next several days and that will lead to shower and storm chances increasing.

For our Thursday, we are looking at a fairly similar setup to what we saw back on our Wednesday.

Temperatures will climb quickly as we head through the first half of the day as we see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. High temperatures are heading back into the lower 90s, but feel warmer as humidity continues to build.

As we move through the afternoon and evening, our chance for showers and storms will continue to increase as a few isolated storms will be possible bringing heavy rain and frequent lightning.
