For the first time in three years, the Vermont Principals' Association has set forth new divisional alignments for its sports offerings.

The divisions, based on enrollment size of girl and boy counts, are for a two-year cycle starting with the 2025-26 school year. While individual sport committees have used enrollment as the determining factor in recent years for division alignment, the VPA has established a statewide policy to make the process less subjective, according to assistant executive director Lauren Young. Football and hockey have general exceptions to this policy.

Below are the divisional alignments for soccer, football, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, hockey, softball, baseball, lacrosse and tennis.

Note: Any team with an asterisk (*) petitioned up a division.
