CORVALLIS, Ore. - Thursday marked one week since the first sighting of a cougar in a quiet Corvallis neighborhood and the big cat remains on the loose.
The most recent sighting was on Wednesday, August 6th around 7:30 according to Corvallis Police, along Northwest Estaview Drive in a home's backyard. By the time police arrived, the cat was gone.
Sue Licht was walking her dog in the direction of the home, until an officer told Licht to turn around.
"She rolled down her window and said, 'I probably wouldn't go out.' She said, 'I'd take your dog and go home,'" said Licht. "So I did."
According to Corvallis Police on Thursday, they've respond immediately to the at least 10 different sightings of the cougar in neighborhoods around Woodland Meadow dog park, but when they arrive, the elusive
