OAKRIDGE, Ore. – A Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuation is in place in the Oakridge area due to a large vegetation fire, according to Oakridge Fire and EMS.

Oakridge fire officials said that the fire is burning between Highway 58 at milepost 37 and Dunning Road. Residents in the area of Dunning Road and Roberts Ranch Road are advised to alert their neighbors and evacuate immediately, according to fire officials. A call for mutual aid was received at 3:42 p.m. on August 7 for an incident on Highway 58 at milepost 37 on the City of Eugene’s fire and EMS dispatch logs.

According to Oakridge Fire and EMS officials, Highway 58 has been closed at milepost 37 due to fire activity in the area.
