CARSON – A 37-year-old man fatally shot on the border of Carson and the unincorporated Rancho Dominguez area was identified Wednesday.

Homicide deputies responded to the 2800 block of East Del Amo Boulevard, near Santa Fe Avenue, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, to reports of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, with no motive for the shooting or a description of a suspect.

He was identified on Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Edgar Silva, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
