A man was shot and killed in Carson on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 5, just west of the 710 Freeway, authorities said.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 2800 block of East Del Amo Boulevard, near Santa Fe Avenue, just after 3:30 p.m. and found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Lt. Steve De Jong said.

The victim was found in a commercial area near the Metro A Line’s Del Amo station and Compton Creek, which feeds into the Los Angeles River.
