MANCHESTER, N.H. —

People inside the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport said the facility was put on lockdown early Thursday morning because of a threat.

"I came on a flight from Chicago, and they wouldn't let any of us leave," said traveler Jamie-Lynn Hazzard.

The situation started to unfold around 12:30 a.m. The airport confirmed to News 9 at about 1:30 a.m. that the situation was over.

Hazzard said there were several police cruisers outside the terminal. She and another man who was there to pick someone up said they were told by security officers that the situation involved a threat.

"They were blocking us in and they said we couldn't leave, and they said there was an incident with explosives in the parking garage," Hazzard told News 9.
