Vice President JD Vance is coming to Indianapolis to sit down with Republican state leaders on Aug. 7.

His visit comes as the Trump administration pushes to redraw congressional maps ahead of next year's elections. Doing so could add more U.S. House seats in the GOP's favor.

Gov. Mike Braun has yet to call a special session to redraw Indiana's congressional maps, but he hasn't ruled it out.

Vice President JD Vance is flying to Indianapolis Thursday to meet with Indiana's Republican leaders as the Trump administration urges state officials to redistrict congressional districts in the GOP's favor.
