Social media platform Instagram has updated its features to include three new elements that fans have long been asking for. People with Instagram accounts will now be able to 'repost' their friends' pictures and Reels (the video section of the app), as well as see each others' locations through the new Instagram Map. ‌

Meta, Mark Zuckerberg's company that owns Instagram, announced the news on their website yesterday, August 6. As well as adding in a repost feature, users will now be able to share their location through Instagram Map, similar to rival social media platform Snapchat's SnapMap. ‌

But this particular new feature could worry parents whose kids or teens use the app. ‌
