PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A crash in Prince George's County left one person dead and another hospitalized Wednesday night, according to police.

Minutes after midnight, the Prince George's County Police Department announced on X that officers were on the scene of a deadly single-vehicle crash in the 11100 block of Tippett Road.

Their preliminary investigation revealed that around 10:45 p.m. on Aug. 6, officers were dispatched to the crash, where they located a passenger, a woman, who had died at the scene.

A second passenger was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police noted that the driver was not injured in the collision.
