POUGHKEEPSIE – The firefighters and apparatus displaced by Tuesday’s fire in Poughkeepsie have been relocated to the Poughkeepsie Public Safety Building at 505 Main Street, just over a mile from the Hooker Avenue Station that was damaged .

Deputy Fire Chief Vincent Parise told Mid-Hudson News that cleanup at Station 3 began late Tuesday night with the arrival of a crew from a contracted cleaning and building restoration company. “Once the initial cleanup is completed, we will have a better idea of the amount of damage the building sustained.”
