WALLKILL – Balchem , the company that develops and manufactures ingredients and products for the nutritional, food, pharmaceutical, animal health, plant nutrition and industrial markets, Wednesday received the final approval for financial incentives from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency to build a new 70,000 to 100,000 square foot facility in the Town of Wallkill. It will replace a smaller operation in the nearby Town of Wawayanda.
The incentives include a 15-year payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement along with a sales tax exemption on building products.
The $36 million facility will retain its current 32 local jobs and add four new ones.
