A person was injured in a crash on the A428/Cambridge Road near Caxton on Wednesday (August 6). An ambulance took the casualty to hospital, after the crash that happened just after 1.30pm.
The crash involved two vehicles. An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called just after 1.30pm to a road traffic collision on the A428 near Eltisley.
"An ambulance was sent to the scene and transported one patient to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
The road was closed in both directions, causing queues. According to traffic monitoring company Inrix, it had fully opened to traffic by around 3.20pm.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson commented to confirm that the force was called "after reports of two cars colliding".
