NEW YORK (PIX11) -- High pressure will dominate the weather for the next several days before moving offshore into the Atlantic.

The region can expect clouds early, followed by partly cloudy skies Thursday afternoon. There is a chance of an isolated shower toward evening. Temperatures will be below average with a high of 80 in the city, upper 70s to low 80s in the suburbs.

Friday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with a high of 81 in the city, upper 70s to low 80s in the suburbs.

Saturday will be sunny as high pressure centers itself over the area. The high will be 83 in the city, low to mid-80s in the suburbs.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and noticeably warmer as high pressure moves east of the region. The high temperature will be 87 in the city, mid to upper 80s in the suburbs.
