With Coventry City preparing to get their Championship season under way this weekend, the club has announced a new matchday menu.

The Sky Blues are in action at home against Hull this Saturday (August 9).

And now the club has promised fans a wider range of options for something to eat and drink while cheering the boys on - including choices for the more health-conscious.

Once upon a time matchday fare consisted of pints of flat, warm lager, a cup of Bovril, and maybe a pie or hot dog if you were lucky.

But football cuisine has come a long way, and today clubs try and deliver a bit more bang for the buck.

The club's website states: "There are a number of new food and drink options this season for fans to enjoy at Coventry City matches at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
