CHICAGO — Authorities are investigating an apparent smash-and-grab burglary at a video game shop on the Northwest Side of the city on Thursday morning.

SkyCam 9 was over the scene around 6:30 a.m. when a Game Stop located in the 2900 block of West Addison Street, in Avondale, could be seen from overhead with significant damage to the front window and door.

Chicago police have not yet provided details on the incident, but the badly damaged storefront appears to have been targeted by thieves who used a vehicle to smash through the front doors.

It is unclear what time the incident unfolded or if anyone was injured.
