An 11-year-old girl from Kent has joined a prestigious society for people with sky-high IQ. Hoi-Ting Isabelle Wu, from Tunbridge Wells , has been accepted into Mensa after achieving an outstanding Cattell IQ score of 158.

The score places her in the top one per cent of the population. Her parents Wing-Yan Wong and Thomas Wu said their daughter had shown an extraordinary love for learning since she was very young.

They claim by just one-and-a-half years old, she could retell stories using book illustrations after daily story time. Now she reads at the level of a 16-year-old and goes through around 400 to 500 books per year.
