A woman suffering from agonising period pain believed to be from endometriosis says she has been on the NHS waiting list to see a specialist for over a year.

Jade Devereux, 23, who lives in Norfolk, says she has been experiencing brutal period pain since she was at school.

Over the years, Ms Devereux has been back and forth to the doctors and has been prescribed painkillers, anti-inflammatories, and even blood thinners to help with the pain.

However, she says she is “screaming with pain” during the first couple of days of her period despite these and has to have a few days off work every month.

“Throughout the years, I have suffered badly with my periods and the day of my period and the next day, I am physically throwing up because of how much pain I am in,” Ms Devereux told The i P
