CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Fans will get to see Joe Burrow and the Bengals in action Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on FOX19 NOW .

The Bengals open the preseason on the road against the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles .

Cincinnati’s 2025 preseason will be different compared to recent years.

To try and buck their notorious trend of starting the regular season slow, head coach Zac Taylor says Burrow and other starters will play in the preseason.

Taylor said the Bengals stars will play “several series” in the preseason opener.

Some starters will not play Thursday, however.

Those players include Mike Gesicki, Trey Hendrickson, BJ Hill, Dax Hill and Cam Taylor-Britt, according to coach Taylor.

While Cincinnati will play its starters, it remains to be seen if Philadelphia
