Low expectations can be a blessing.
I walked in to “Fantastic Four: First Steps” fearing another boring sequel, but ended up actually enjoying this Marvel adventure.
In the movie era marked by sequels and prequels, what could possibly surprise us?
Well, how about a pregnant superhero, popping the kid during a zero-gravity space mission?
I expected an explosion or two before the opening credits, but instead Sue Storm was staring at her pregnancy test – partly shocked, partly excited.
She hugged her husband, Mr. Fantastic, who seemed a bit baffled, but mostly happy.
A baby’s on the way.
When the news spreads, everyone begins asking the inevitable question: Will the baby have a superpower, too?
