(NewsNation) — Army Secretary Dan Driscoll is set to honor the soldiers who responded to Wednesday’s shooting at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia, where five service members were wounded.
Driscoll is expected to highlight the actions of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team.
All five victims in the shooting were transported to Memorial Health Hospital and are in stable condition, expected to make full recoveries, according to Brig. Gen. John Lubas, commander of the 3rd Infantry Division.
Authorities identified the shooter as Sgt. Quornelius Radford, an automated logistics specialist with the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team. They said Radford opened fire on his co-workers at his workplace on the base shortly before 11 a.m. local time.
