Construction is moving quickly on a new Panda Express restaurant in Leesburg, where the abandoned Burger King was finally demolished.

The new quick-service restaurant is taking shape at 10849 U.S. Highway 441. Heavy machinery cleared the former Burger King site earlier this summer, and since then, construction crews have made rapid progress on erecting the new building and installing foundational utilities.

Panda Express is a national chain known for its fast-casual Chinese-American cuisine. The restaurant has not yet announced an official opening date for the Leesburg location.
