ELLSWORTH, Kan. (KAKE) - A central Kansas sheriff is urging drivers to stay off their phones after a semi crash and fire that was so hot, the roadway will need to be repaired.
It happened at around 7 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 70 near 23rd Road in northeastern Ellsworth County. Sheriff Kenny Bernard said in a Facebook post that an eastbound semi side-swiped another that was broken down on the shoulder. The eastbound semi caught fire.
