The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on Friday, Aug. 1, that it is accepting public feedback on a proposed plan to reorganize its workforce and consolidate many of its offices.
As part of that plan, the department intends to close the nine Regional Offices of the U.S. Forest Service. It is not yet clear how those planned closures would affect the decision-making processes or local operations of Forest Service units like the Coconino National Forest. Copy article link
