A Lexington man is accused of shooting someone in Darlington County, according to the sheriff's office.

Payton Floyd is charged with attempted murder.

Darlington County deputies responded to a Sunny Point Road home in the Florence area on Sunday.

They made contact with Floyd and took him into custody.

They also found the shooting victim, who sustained minor injuries after allegedly "being shot at by the suspect while in their vehicle," according to the sheriff's office.
