A Vermont man was arrested this week for allegedly sexually assaulting a child 20 years ago.

State police say Jeremy Bogie, 48, of Ryegate, Vt., was taken into custody Wednesday on a charge of aggravated sexual assault with a child following their investigation that began in June.

Police allege the sexual assault occurred several times between 2004-2007, and involved a girl Bogie knew who was 10 to 12 years old.

Bogie is being held without bail at the Northeast Correctional Facility, and he's scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon in Vermont Superior Court in St. John
