TELLICO PLAINS, Tenn. (WATE) — One person was injured after a small plane crashed in Tellico Plains Tuesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane crashed into trees shortly after takeoff around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, possibly due to a malfunction, the pilot said, according to Tellico Plains Police. There was a fire after the crash.
One person was injured and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he is in stable condition, said Tellico Plains Police Chief David Bookout.
