The United Airlines technology issue that led to flight disruptions at Newark Liberty International Airport and other airports nationwide on the evening of Aug. 6 has been resolved, the airline said in a statement.

"We are working with customers to get them to their destinations after a technology disruption on Wednesday evening," reads the statement, which was emailed to NorthJersey.com shortly after 8 a.m. Aug. 7. "The underlying technology issue has been resolved, and, while we expect residual delays, our team is working to restore our normal operations."
