A man had to be rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Coventry on Thursday afternoon. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Harnall Lane East, close to Stoney Stanton Road, just after lunchtime today , August 7.
An ambulance crew and a specialist care team attended and treated a man who was injured, before he was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 12.50pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Harnall Lane East in Coventry.
"One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found a man who was the pedestrian. He was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.
