State Police on Wednesday released new details about Monday night's shooting incident that left two young men dead on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.

Troopers in a news release identified three people involved in the shooting on Whites Drive in Perrysburg: Tylin O. Thomas Jr., 18; Ryan A. Mohawk, 23; and Caleb H. Stafford, also 23.

According to State Police, Thomas was standing outside a car with the two other men in it. Thomas fired shots from an AK47-style weapon at the vehicle, killing Mohawk, the driver, and injuring Stafford.

Thomas then took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

Stafford drove the car about 1,200 feet to a nearby residence and called police. Authorities received a 911 call at about 11:27 p.m. Monday.
