While it is not always the case, most times when I sit down to write a column for The Valley Breeze, I have a fairly good idea about what I want to talk about, or what I want to say.

We are living in a time and in a country where events, many of them tragic or bordering on unbelievable, are unfolding at a dizzying pace. It is a time and place where it is becoming more difficult to know what is true and what is horse manure being fed to mass audiences by mass media, in a flood-the-zone manner.

This information dissemination tactic seems to be working very well. Those who follow the news are often so overwhelmed by a world spiraling out of control. I am challenged every day to keep one eye on what I can process in one day and the other eye on the thieves that are attempting to use the co
