HUBBARD The Hubbard Township Board of Trustees is meeting Thursday night to discuss the potential acquisition of Coalburg Lake.

Earlier in July, 21 News reported that the Western Reserve Land Conservancy is working to purchase the Coalburg Lake Dam. Hubbard Township Trustee Jason Tedrow tells us the Land Conservancy needs to find a willing recipient to be the applicant on a grant funding request for that purchase.

Tedrow says there is 338 acres of property up for grabs including the lake and land extending up to Stewart-Sharon Road. The Coalburg Dam and its liabilities are not included.

Tedrow adds that if trustees agree to be the recipient, the acquisition of the property will come at no cost to taxpayers.
