SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a shooting in Wilbraham back in May.

The Springfield Police Department states that on May 29th at around 11:50 p.m., officers with the Wilbraham Police Department were sent to Springfield Street for a report of shots fired. Officers were able to recover evidence from the shooting during their investigation.

The officers learned that an occupied vehicle was struck by gunfire during the incident, and that 29-year-old Michael Murdock Jr. of Springfield was identified as the suspect. Wilbraham officers applied and were granted a warrant from Palmer District Court for Murdock's arrest in July.
