TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Late Wednesday night, the Twin Falls County and Idaho State Police responded to a welfare check in the parking lot at Costco.
The subject began ramming police vehicles when officers arrived. Shots were fired by law enforcement, but there were no injuries, according to a release by the Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle exited the parking lot and was chased by law enforcement down Poleline Road. Spikes and a PIT maneuver were used to stop the car near Poleline Road and Highway 93.
The driver was taken to St. Luke’s to be medically cleared and was then arrested on charges of aggravated battery and felony eluding.
The Critical Incident Task Force, along with the Jerome Sheriff’s office as the lead agency, will investigate this incident.
