One of the UK’s longest-running Caribbean carnivals will be taking over the streets of Manchester once again this weekend.
Manchester Carnival 2025 will return on Saturday and Sunday (August 9 and 10) with a big celebration at Alexandra Park, near Whalley Range and Moss Side, as well as a joyous parade featuring hundreds of dancers and troupes.
Just in time for the event, the Manchester weather is set to be a little sunnier than it has in the past few days following the presence of Storm Floris. The temperature could be between 19 and 21C across Saturday and Sunday.
This year’s Manchester Carnival, which is set to be attended by close to 60,000 people, will take on the theme of unity - celebrating the strength, diversity and togetherness of the many communities that make up Manchester
