HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — This week, Eat It Up is on the banks of Lake Hamilton at Hot Springs' newest seafood stop! The Local Seafood & Oyster Bar has only been open two months, but locals are already flocking in for their crab, huge steaks, fresh fish, and Cajun pasta!
Owner Samantha Cantrell said it's been a wild ride so far, but she's thrilled The Local is now open.
"We started out with a little crawfish food truck, so we traveled to crawdad festivals and we would go to the chuckwagon races in Clinton, Arkansas," she described. "Down the road, the owners of this building reached out to us and asked us if we'd be interested in coming here and opening up a restaurant here, and now we've been here about two months."
