Former MasterChef winner Thomasina Miers has expressed her dismay over John Torode's exit from the BBC cooking show, admitting she "feels awful" and was left "gobsmacked" by the complaint upheld against him.
John Torode and Gregg Wallace have been a staple on British TV since they began co-hosting the revamped MasterChef in 2005, forming one of the most iconic duos.
However, their partnership came to an abrupt end after allegations against Wallace were confirmed, including one for "unwelcome physical contact" and three related to states of undress.
Following closely behind, Torode faced a racism allegation which was also upheld, leading to his departure from the show. Torode has strongly denied the racism accusation and expressed his dismay.
