WAUPACA, Wis. (WBAY) - Jury deliberations continue in the double homicide cold case trial in Waupaca County.
Thursday morning, the jury wrote a letter to the judge asking how to go about convincing other jurors to make a unanimous decision.
The jury is deliberating the verdict of Tony Haase, who is facing two murder charges for the deaths of Tanna Togstad and Tim Mumbrue. The couple was found stabbed to death in 1992. Haase wasn’t charged until 2022.
Judge Ray Huber read a note from the jury Thursday morning, which asked how the “individual veto” process interacts with the process of building or making a unanimous decision.
The judge told the jury to go back into chambers to discuss and share opinions to come back with a collective verdict.
