WWE SUPERSTAR and world-famous actor John Cena has opened up about getting a hair transplant last November following hair loss jibes from fans.

The 48-year-old said the procedure changed his life and that he wished he had got it done sooner.

In conversation with People , the pro-wrestler discussed the early reaction from crowds that pushed him to get the transplant done.

He said: “As I was trying to hide my hair loss, the audience was bringing it to light,"

"I saw their signs that said 'The bald John Cena .'

“They pushed me into going to see what my options were."

The Massachusetts native has become one of wrestling 's biggest legends since debuting with the WWE in 2000.

His victory over Cody Rhodes in April secured him a record 17th world championship title.
