WILLISTON — The parents of students who campaigned for the chokecherry to be named North Dakota's official state fruit were honored Wednesday with the planting of a chokecherry tree at Rickard Elementary School.

Among the "Chokecherry Parents" recognized was Jerys Enget, whose daughter Lexie was one of the then-sixth grade students at Rickard who filed the fruitful legislation. Enget died on April 24 following a battle with cancer. kAmkDA2?mQs@6D }@CE9 s2<@E2 92G6 2 DE2E6 7CF:EnQ k^DA2?mkDA2?mkDA2?mkDA2?mkDA2?mkDA2?mkDA2?mDEF56?ED :? }2?4J $6=3JVD D:IE9 8C256 4=2DD 2E #:4<2C5 2D<65] (96?
