The Los Angeles Chargers today signed tight end Thomas Yassmin . In a corresponding move, the team waived/injured tight end Jordan Petaia . Yassmin joins the Bolts as part of the NFL's International Player Pathway (IPP) training program.
Yassmin spent the 2024 season with the Denver Broncos on the team's practice squad via the IPP program. He played college football at the University of Utah, redshirting in 2018 before starting 10-of-47 games played for the Utes over the next five seasons (2019-23). Over his collegiate career, Yassmin caught 22 passes for 396 yards (18.0 avg.) and seven touchdowns.
